Let’s get
to know

I am an Integrative Health Practitioner, AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor, I have a BS in Kinesiology and have completed training in functional blood chemistry. My goal for you is to bring your body back into balance so you can live a vibrant life, full of energy & free of dis-ease, stress and inflammation.

Are you wondering how I went from staying home to raise my babies to a root cause practitioner?  Let’s back it up a bit! I have always been an active, “healthy” person.  Always exercising, eating salads, avoided drugs, only drank socially and went to bed early.  In my late teens I started getting white spots around my eyes, so I went to the dermatologist and they informed me I had mild vitiligo.

It’s “autoimmue” they told me, and there is no treatment for it.  They gave me some ointment (that did nothing) and then sent me across the hall to the endocrinologist because “thyroid issues go hand in hand with vitiligo.” The result of that appointment was Hashimoto’s (hypothyroidism) diagnosis and a prescription that they told me I’d be on for the rest of my life because there is no “cure.” At that time, I did some digging into what autoimmunity was but didn’t get very far.

Years passed, I got married, started a family and went about my daily life.  Eating the best I could, exercising and taking my daily dose of levothyroxine.  Everything seemed normal; any changes I had I figured were due to being pregnant, nursing, exhaustion from parenthood or were just the normal parts of aging.  Isn’t that just it though? We are conditioned to believe that as we age our quality of life is supposed to decline, chronic illness is expected and we all sit around waiting to see what prescription the conventional system will throw at us first to mask the symptoms without addressing any issues.

A few months after my youngest turned one (I assumed my hormones leveled out) and I was done nursing is when I started to see myself slip. Acne, wrinkles, dull hair and skin, a hard time gaining muscle mass, diarrhea constantly, bloating immediately after eating, brain fog, utter exhaustion and my thyroid levels getting worse and worse each year resulting in a higher dosage of my Rx. Not to mention debilitating menstrual cycles lasting 7 days.  I “joked” the first 2 days of my cycle I always looked gray because I was losing so much blood that I looked like a vampire.

As much as I was told this is normal, I refused to accept it.  Something about autoimmunity and “the body attacking itself” for NO REASON didn’t make sense to me; in fact, I recognized that my body was attacking itself but I knew there had to be something driving the body to do that. I dove into research, podcasts, books and worked with an integrative medicine doctor and then an IHP to get well again.

And now I’d love to help you do the same. We CAN live without suffering. Let me help you dig down to eradicate the root cause and bring your body, mind and soul back into balance. You deserve to live well and whole!
